Hello, I am Anney Kim. I graduated from Mill Creek High School, class of 2020. I applied to Roosevelt Warm-Springs program a while ago and currently I am in the waiting list. While I am on the waiting list I am currently working with Spectrum. I am part of the Thursday monthly meeting every month and play piano for Spectrum‘s drama club. Also, I worked with Spectrum’s Thanksgiving Break Camp. I have participated with Spectrum since my middle school year. I started off with being a camper before I become staff/volunteer for Spectrum. I like volunteering with Spectrum and the children because I love working with children, helping them learn how to be independent, and getting to know each of the children. I played piano for Spectrum during my Camper year at Camp Journey and for the recent Spectrum Drama club show. I love playing piano for the Spectrum kids and others because sharing my talent entertains people. Spectrum has benefitted me by giving me opportunities to work with children, learn how to be independent, and be rewarded by working with children. I am so grateful to work with children. Thank you Spectrum for giving me these wonderful opportunities.

It is great that as an autism-focused organization that individuals on the autism spectrum can participate as volunteers and staff like Anney. Being a part of her journey has benefited Spectrum and Anney both. Her eagerness to serve and make a difference makes all of us smile. Thank you, Anney!
