Spectrum Super Star January 2018

Congratulations to our January 2018 Super Stars of the month, Laura Allen and friends!

Laura says, “Every year my husband, friends and I have an Ugly Christmas Sweater party and this year we decided to give back to the community. We found Spectrum on the Gwinnett Coalition website and after some research decided they would be the perfect organization to help for the holidays. We have a lot of kids in our friend circle so we knew they would enjoy picking out Legos for other children in the community. We asked all of our friends to bring some Legos to the party and they really came through! We were able to collect quite a few Lego sets and a projector screen! We love that Spectrum is using play as a way to help kids with autism work on social skills. Thank you for all the hard work you do in the community & thanks to all of our friends who helped out & donated to this very worthy cause”.

Thank you, Laura Allen and friends for supporting Spectrum!

This was the coolest idea. I challenge others to consider having friends bring donations for charities during holidays or other parties during the year.  So many of us enjoy going to parties and used to taking a gift to the host or to exchange. But what a way to make a difference! Adopt a charity and give back!  If you would like to consider Spectrum feel free to contact me (Claire@atl-spectrum.com) to find out what needs we might have and how you can support us with materials or supplies for our programs.
