Our next monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, May4. We have multiple topics scheduled, from dealing with challenging behaviors and sensory issues, to the benefits of being in Band. New!Spectrum's Drama Club has been working hard on their production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and will present their show on May 6th (7 pm) and May 7th (2 pm). Did you know that Spectrum hosts two social skills groups for children (K through 12th grade)? Learn about our Fun & Friends Group for our friends with moderate autism, and our Saturday Social Group for our higher functioning friends. Please note that both groups require advance registration so that we can staff accordingly. Note that these groups will both meet in April but will not meet during the summer months.
Our Gift of Time Respite program is a wonderful opportunity for parents to have some much-needed respite time. Learn more about this program here. Registration is open for our next session on Saturday, May 20. Advance registration is required.
Studio Movie Grill'snext special needs showing will be Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on Saturday, May 13th. Children with special needs and siblings are FREE and parents/adults pay only $6.00 per ticket. Ask for the Chefs for Children menu special, and 5% of the proceeds from these food items will be donated to SMG designated non-profits serving families of children with special needs. And, Spectrum is one of them! We are proud to be a partner with SMG!
